CSE 2022: Plan/ Strategy/ Daily Routine

This is an everything thread for all stuff 2022. You can post your daily goals, end-of-the-day updates, weekly targets or any weird thing you use to measure your progress. You can put into words & post the soul-sucking sadness that is threatening to devour you & your productivity. You can write what made your day & let others experience the happiness too, at least vicariously. This is a thread to pick each other up. This is a thread to keep each other accountable. This is a no-judgement zone.

--------

“This is one more piece of advice I have for you: don't get impatient. Even if things are so tangled up you can't do anything, don't get desperate or blow a fuse and start yanking on one particular thread before it's ready to come undone. You have to realize it's going to be a long process and that you'll work on things slowly, one at a time.”

I hope everybody who's on the edge has started with their Mains preparation. However I'd like you to do me & yourself a favour. Since I've already filled my representation on UPSC website, I'm no longer able to edit it. But I feel with what I've learned recently there's very strong case for the NFT Q's 3rd statement being correct. So, I request those of you who haven't filled their representation yet to please do the needful. It won't take more than 2 minutes.

Statement 3 is correct because: These days NFTs are being generated for giving access to gated communities - physical and digital both. Essentially you get a NFT ticket that gives you access to a concert, WhatsApp group, discord community, etc. Now all these NFTs are identical(same) except for a different hash no(similar to how 2 rupees 100 notes are same in value but their individual series number is different ->Therefore when you exchange two Rs 100 notes, you don't care about the series number printed on it). NFTs work in a similar fashion. You can trade/exchange two NFTs at equivalence that give you access to an event and ofc these are commercial transactions. The following start-up is doing precisely this: https://sentr3.com/?gclid=CjwKCAjw14uVBhBEEiwAaufYx86QPWys7LdB7VacvCmfpH6hD9VK25OeVtkX0SGccR6GisojEf3eHhoCQWMQAvD_BwE

**Also the Q mentioned, "can be" and not "all NFTs" or anything else.

I've double-checked this with a start-up founder in the web3.0 space as well. Plus the Q merely said "can be" which is an immense possibility. We just need to bring it to the eye of UPSC.

You can raise your representation at: https://upsconline.nic.in/miscellaneous/QPRep/

**You have time till 6:00 PM tomorrow. Thanks in advance!

A Non-fungible Token (NFT) is basically a digital asset or can be called a cryptographic asset having a unique identification code and metadata which differentiate it from a fungible token. As with cryptocurrencies, they cannot be traded or exchanged at equivalent values.03-Jun-2022

Agreed sir. I should have been more aware and careful in the exam. But I have always believed in trying to the limits, and therefore would not want to let it go without bringing it to the UPSC's notice.

**Also I feel UPSC is not so old school. I feel they purposely used the term "can be used" and not "are being used" or anything that would imply NFTs primary purpose. They tend to close all loose ends. Let's see, I don't have many hopes from UPSC on this but what's the harm in trying. Representation has been put up by a considerate fellow community member. Thanks!

Yes sir I have already filed a representation on this very question with "credible sources" in favour of argument that option 3 is wrong

Hello good people of forum,

Feeling a little overwhelmed with all the work that needs to be done. Could anyone suggest a few blogs/videos to look at? I'm primarily worried about the GS1,2 and 3 papers. Apart from this, just want to fine tune my own strategy and ensure I don't miss out on anything.

Also, if the old timers recall we had whatonly write a wonderful post after her selection last year. Could anyone attach the link to that?

Thanks a lot!

Guys does anyone have a compilation of general key words for GS papers for ex :
criminilisation of politics, sarpach-pati syndrome, not-in-my-backyard approach for climate change etc....
These kind of words list, can we get somewhere ?
PS:  feel these could be a cherry on top of our answers, but i didn't come across them in std books or magazines.
if there is any such compilation (atleast somewhat near to these) , Kindly post it here as it will be helpful to all
Thanks in advance ....

Feeling the same. Saw@Neyawn video today. (he somehow Always manages to calm my nerves). I have decided to take decisions on TS or Answer writing programmes in coming 1-2 days & stick to their schedules. Once we make these decisions (after due diligence), we must go full throttle without doubting ourselves. In my opinion, these self doubts too get reflected in our answers

Also is this the blog you're taking about ? https://threewhiteboards.wordpress.com/2021/11/02/mains-gs/

@sstarrr thank you. Have been working on it a little bit. Bas ab kal se start irrespective of anything. Procrastination comes easily.

@GaneshGaitonde thanks a lot for the blog post. I just saw the video myself and I agree. I think we'll all be able to make better decisions once we start. As they say, 'well begun is half done' :)
