You can try to read any current affairs magazine ( Read Vision or Rau), and pick up issues as per the syllabus in front of you. Go 6-8 months back from today.

someone help answering these 3rd world problems -

how much time should one take to write an answer to case study ?

what should be the approach to solve ethics paper ? i.e. first write case studies or theory portion?

also should equal time be divided between both the sections ?

1)start with 5 case studies-First:20min ,Rest 4 case studes -4x15 min=60min >>>80min

2) Attempt part -1 :13 questions with 7 min each>>>. 90 min

3)Attempt last case study (for which you have to mark points on the question paper at the starting)-10min--By the time speed will be high.

I followed the above approach considering that starting with case studies brings fresh ideas(God knows).I was able to complete paper.

Suppose you are a junior doc in charge of allocating ventilators to Covid patients. What factors to consider before prioritising patients? Suppose you have a father with 3 kids and a widow with no kids coming to the hospital, how will you prioritise?

I don't think doctors are trained to prioritize based on such factors. They prioritize based on factors like severity of the case, comorbidities, age, overall health etc.

That being said, if in an extreme hypothetical case where all such factors were the exact same, then I would prioritize the father for the obvious reason of not wanting to destroy the lives of the kids as well, but I would definitely point that out to the father and the kids (depending on whether they are old enough to truly understand) the situation and tell them to treasure the life and opportunity they are being provided.

@dragon_rider I understand you point about not being trained to factor in those parameters. I just wanted to have stray points like
1. Will consult any senior doc about course of action
2. Will try to coordinate with other hospitals if ventilator available
3. Being transparent with both familiies regarding availability as time is precious etc
