Those who appeared in CAPF, how was your exam?@Usain_bolt Bro how was it?

Hello bhai.

Came to forum after some time. Paper acha gaya hai shayad ho jaega.

Mujhe medical ka tension hai. Mere right leg mei 6 fingers hain aur woh 6th wala ekdum bahar nikla hua rehta hai. Because of this reason I don't wear shoes. Class 6 k bad se mai school college sab slepers pehan k jata tha. I know it may be sounding weird but that is the way it is.

Fitness wise I won't have any issues. Given my background in athletics I will clear those easily but don't know medical grounds pe nikal de shayad. Bina shoes defence forces mei lenge kaise? Anybody has any idea about it?

Anyways I applied for this exam just to have offline exam feel before prelims. Lets see kya hota hai.

Congrats for a good paper.

Shoe in my opinion will be must for defence forces.

How did u participate in athletics? Barefoot or have shoe made by local cobbler?

In off season I used to practice in a local stadium which was grass track so there I practiced barefoot. At the time of competitions and on synthetic tracks I used spikes. I had to purchase new spikes after every 1-2 months because even though I used them specifically for giving timings for my events(100, 200m) in training, but still woh 6th finger ke pressure se woh spike fat jata tha.

I used to spend most of my Sports Authority of India (SAI) stipen on spikes only😃 In national camps generally you are well taken care of so they provide you everything for free.

Your question brought back so many memories. Thank you for asking.

Wow man! U are talented. I thought u used to play gully sports like me.

Don’t let the extra toe be a hindrance to ur talent in anyways.

Adidas designed a shoe for Swapna Barman, a heptathlete. https://www.indiatoday.in/sports/athletics/story/swapna-barman-feet-adidas-six-toes-custom-shoe-1381899-2018-11-03

Though going all the way to Germany might not be possible. You can try talking to a local cobbler or some student studying shoe design in India and get a custom solution made for urself.

PS: I guess most probably u must be knowing about this case and might have even explored this option. But if haven’t then it might be a way out.

Haha bhai hi-fi. Now I am also a gully player only. I don't participate in any competitions. Last 2 years se  sab band kar diya hu. These days I just do some casual running and gyming for general fitness. I have almost moved on from that phase of my life.

Thank you for your suggestion. I didn't know about this.

There's some doubt over Sugar statistics like major exporting, importing and consuming countries.
Can someone share any reliable information?

Or we can cross verify each other's data for other crops as well on forum, must be helpful for everyone.

Happy Independence Day, the 75th of a biggest democracy state. Here in India we are celebrating the independence day, we are enjoying the democratic rule. I was surprised what is being happened in a established country Afghanistan at this moment. I also was surprised that no official islamic country is coming to help the Afghani citizens. In 2021 we are watching this type of change in the government. Really in India we are enjoying the democratic rights near to maximum extent, however not completely but in a better way than Afghanistan like countries. The UN is not taking strict action, that is also a surprise fact. May you further elaborate the future of Afghanistan and India's relationship. At present what is really happening.

Happy Independence Day guys!!!
But I hope that on the eve of 75th yr of independence...we compete with the top players rather than the bottom most.
Competing with Afghanistan on democracy isn't a good sign...I think we should strive for d best!!!!

@Esha2020 It's not about the comparison, but my intention is that I personally one side enjoying our independence day but other side I am tensed with the  happening of Afghanistan crisis in today's era,  I am seeing how a country can be changed so instantly. Whether it may happen with India or not I don't know. I like my country as a nation like other citizens but .......

On a day when we’re celebrating our independence, a neighbour mourns the loss of theirs.

Somehow I don’t feel any sort of happiness today, my heart pains for the people of Afghanistan (those who are opposed to the Taliban).

Geopolitically, it worsens India’s position in the region. Now Pakistan and by extension China has a proxy player. The Mujahideen will definitely feel ‘vindicated’ in their ‘jihad’. Their ground forces have been raised through one ideology, rule of Islam and i fear that this would embolden them to take steps towards their stated goal of establishing a worldwide rule of Islam.

With no intention of offending any community, I do have an observation to make. Looking at social media comments on the Taliban offensive and their victories, why do so many Muslims support them? I figure they view this as a victory for Islam. Certainly most educated and western Muslims would be opposed to what the Taliban represents. But I feel that a lot of Muslims support the current and would support a future ‘war for Islam’.

I feel realistically the best case scenario would be that Afghanistan goes the Iran way. A theocracy but a country that leaves religion to social aspects. While not ideal, for the stability of the region in particular and the world in general, it’s the most desirable and real outcome.

Somehow with all our collective worldly wisdom, the countless UN initiatives, the principles we espouse worldwide, we couldn’t prevent this from happening. A month back women in Afghanistan had hopes that things would be alright, a couple of days back there were reports that Afghanistan would fall in 90 days. Must have lit a candle of hope for them, maybe they could escape. Now some are contemplating suicide. Their lives have been turned around drastically and it should be impacting all of us. India has a sizeable presence of Afghan students, I can’t even imagine the painful dilemma they must be facing. Go back and risk a life of oppression or even death but with your family, or leave your family to preserve your freedom and possibly life.

I further believe this marks an inflection point in the global order. China will soon have control over major resources in Afghanistan considering their cozying up to the Taliban leadership and their association with Pakistan. Pakistan will have a huge boost in their campaign against India and even China would be happy with the possibility of further external strain on India.

Just can’t bring myself to wish anyone a ‘happy’ Independence Day.

This is just sad. I remember reading Khalid Hosseini's books as a teenager. The description of women in the novels was painstaking. I am sure the situation at the ground level would be worse..

All the so called "powerful countries of the world", have had a lot of "contribution" in creating the problem of taliban in the first place. Did they really think that Taliban would follow the Doha Agreement in letter and spirit?

Meanwhile USA is literally running for their lives.. The President of Afghanistan has left the country.. Where have we come to??

The world is quite a sad place at this juncture.. People are dying from Covid, Floods, Droughts, Wildfires etc.. and those who are not dying by all these , are being killed mercilessly by their fellow species :(
