The Civils Mains result has been declared. This thread is for sharing your grief , joy , mixed feelings - absolutely anything and everything.
So the crowd is here. I was thinking why is not anyone excited in forum for the gold. I missed it. We had a good good olympics guys. Congratulations everyone.

Sharing interview experience.
Don't know what will happen.
It was different than all coaching mocks.
Got TCA Anant sir board.
Asked the question on why CS after IIM.Answered
Asked of few projects which I did..
Asked about olympics.
Then about sociology.
Then corona 1 question (i fumbled here)
Then again sociology
Then few questions on pg degree and optional.
Now the problem is that there was not much discussion,no debate,no cutting me in between.
They asked question I answered,then they asked another question which I answered.
Then the baton was passed to next member.
Answered all questions except 1(Total 16 questions were asked).
This happened as out of 16 questions I had prepared 15 questions beforehand(other than corona question) and had discuused them with my mother day before yesterday.So knew answers to them.
No cross questioning,no cutting in between,no debates,no hobbies,no current and no graduation related question.
Aise question puche jo kisi aur se nahi puche jaate.
People asked about theory of socio (of srinivas).I was asked to link socio to different states and to something.
I answered it.
But I am scared as my interview was different than any interview I had heard of.
Interview got over in 20 minutes.
Now what to make of it (answered all except 1 question but no debate, no cross questioning, no cutting in between, no asking such things like are you sure (to confuse an aspirant)).
Now I think 2 results r possible here:
1- Either its very bad and they did'nt like me at all and realized in 20 minutes I am a gone case
2-Its awesome and I told them what they wanted to listen and answered everything so they did not push me further and did'nt cross question me and realized in 20 minutes I am a perfect.
Any thoughts?
Any past experience of anyone whose interview got over in 20 minutes?
It was so cordial and such that I did'nt even realized inside that its an interview. Is being too cordial dangerous or sign of good interview.
There was not even a single point where they tried to stress me to say something,or to confuse me.
Aisa chill interview maine life mein aaj tak nahi diya isliye bahut darr lag raha hai.
Sabko stress karte hain,unki baat katate hain,unko confuse karte hain,problems ke solution maangte hain,but not in my interview.
What are the minimum marks which are awarded in interview?Itna darr lag raha hai.
No hard questions, all except 1 agreeing, silence in room.
Other than that, I am tired of this race running for job and had already given 3.5 years to this exam.

No clue, as I have never faced any interview, but I wish you luck bro.. And I dont think they would have considered you a gone case..
I know these few weeks of anticipation would be too much for any sane person to take in.. I hope you clear the exam.. and then share this experience with future aspirants. :)

I didn't prepare and went without reading basic science and recent current affairs, also wasn't focused during exam time in paper 1- getting around 128-132
had no idea about the number of seats are on lower side :P
also in second paper report writing, I had little idea
overall, missed an opportunity

Wow bro, You scored very decently. I am getting in around the 125s marks bracket, though completed paper 2 efficiently.
90% chances you will be through easily.

90% chances you will be through easily.
As we know how UPSC answer keys are, your 125s can be more than my 128s or 130s, Also cutoff can be higher, though don't have much idea about the competition, so we both have fair chances of clearing atleast first stage, but I doubt about final selection unless in paper 2 we perform exceptionally well
so finger crossed, baaki to result will tell
PS : my attitude regarding exams after last prelims is not worthy of rewards in such competitive environment, so not expecting much. Will just try to be on the track for this prelims and if possible for EPFO also

Hello bhai.
Came to forum after some time. Paper acha gaya hai shayad ho jaega.
Mujhe medical ka tension hai. Mere right leg mei 6 fingers hain aur woh 6th wala ekdum bahar nikla hua rehta hai. Because of this reason I don't wear shoes. Class 6 k bad se mai school college sab slepers pehan k jata tha. I know it may be sounding weird but that is the way it is.
Fitness wise I won't have any issues. Given my background in athletics I will clear those easily but don't know medical grounds pe nikal de shayad. Bina shoes defence forces mei lenge kaise? Anybody has any idea about it?
Anyways I applied for this exam just to have offline exam feel before prelims. Lets see kya hota hai.
