Qualified, for both but can't fill DAF since I don't have an EWS certificate because of the tahsildar corrupt mind. he hasn't provided me on time. What's the way forward?

EWS and OBC candidates are supposed to submit UNDERTAKING in given format alongwith the certificate issued. 

However the format gives says nothing about Signature of candidates.

Any leads?

Should we sign it??

@Naukar Shah That's sad. From what I got to know about few EWS guys on mains discussion thread, your certificate must be dated before 3 March 2020. If not, call UPSC asap. However, since you have cleared both, you must have cleared atleast CSE at UR standards. So assuming worst case scenario, work hard for mains assuming yourself to be UR.

@confused_soul what is new tamasha of undertaking? Is there any separate form for the undertaking? things are so complicated in this country. Really sick.

my certificate was issued on 28 august... fir fy 2019-20...i have nt clrd for ifos but clrd for cse and marks close to 118.. i am. also in dilemma.. what to do...

@Naukar Shah they have given the format in instructions document. It is to be submitted with the ews certificate.

Can a veteran please confirm if there would be any issue if I upload my University Passing certificate and Final year marksheets rather than degree because they have not been issued till now? I called UPSC and they said upload Final year marksheets, did not reply to my email.

You can. Dont worry about that. Many people have not received their degree. Final Years Marksheet will do.

Date matters because you can leave your job after clearing thru EWS to claim benefit.

But asking for undertaking despite having certificate from authority, that's bizarre.

Surname in the name of my father is different in daf form and in EWS certificate. Because I wrote surname 'Maheshwari' as it is my surname all documents and in EWS certificate and all certificate of my Father, his surname is different. So it would be problem. Please clarify

You can. Dont worry about that. Many people have not received their degree. Final Years Marksheet will do.

What is the reason for this ?

Try to have the names as per 10th boards data.


Also, you will have to get into this after the Interview. So try not to solve it right now. If they are accepting let it be. You will have a smooth ride till the interview even if some docs are missing.


Also , Make sure you do not bank on the EWS criteria as some people this year have faced difficulty even after getting into final list.
