[Results] Prelims 2020 Over - Gearing for 2021
Because of the corona virus issue? If it does not happen then worst affected will be people whose interview is stuck, around 600-700 such people I think are yet to appear for their interview.

its there because i studied in a pvt school and u studied in a govt school. i came in this world with golden spoon and u might have not seen spoon in ur life.

Reservation is there and needs to be there not because of the jahil ideas you have but because of the inequality present in the society. Since it's easy to give it on caste basis it is being done and now it has political angle.
Point is the deserving ppl of SC/ST/OBC are not getting the reservation....... and SC/ST/OBC ppl are actually suffering out of it...... nahi samajh aaya to AARAKSHAN dekh lo........ by prakash jha. i know a ST guy taken more than 10 attempts to this very exam. you can meet him in ORN. he is filthy rich.
EWS is welcomed on that front only because it has economic criteria out of NON-SC/ST/OBC. Out of rest 50% that are not getting reservation and are poor are now eligible under EWS.
Can you imagine how it is actually uplifting the ppl. and the point is he wont be able to claim it after selected nor his upcoming generations.
dimag lagao aur samjho........... SC/ST/OBE ppl are being fooled in the name of reservations. only affluent ppl are getting benifitted.

Bas kar bhai. What kind of covering does your little brain have that you aren't able to understand the simple difference between social and economic discrimination? Please let us know so that we can recommend the same covering to be used in masks to prevent the spread of coronavirus.π
On a serious note, please go read some books or for that matter just ncert about social discrimination. You will need it to pass this exam. If not, someone else in the future will take a jibe at your attempts due to the chutzpah you're displaying towards your preparation because of the inherent biases that you hold.

To be honest, this is not even a debate. This is just correcting facts for a person who is utterly insensitive to human suffering. If you cannot even have the tolerance or patience to educate a person with wrong notion on a social issue, civil servant ban kar bhi kya hi fayda hai.

All i am saying is if one values his time, which I think one should, then one should indulge in discussions that have no end. Now you will say - who are you to tell what to do and what not? Perfectly fine reasonable objection. But what I have to say is I didn't join this forum to become a social justice warrior. So maybe moral outrage at wrong place will waste my time. 2) Your ego is hurt, so your brain has naturally stopped functioning normally. Come back when you're CNS is back to normal and when you make valid arguments. Take some rest and wisdom until then.
Made a thread on Forum Community Platform for sharing pain stories of those who couldn't make it to Final list after trying hard. Done this after getting many request for same in PM. I think calling out people for hypocrisy is perfectly alright and a sign of a healthy democracy. However, one must stop short of taking potshots and offering personal jibes. I think people should be able to sit down and discuss about contentious issues, but it is also necessary that such a debate should be on the basis of a certain set of accepted facts.
Here, as@Spectrum pointed out, the instances of untouchability faced by backward castes, especially the Depressed classes, has been documented over decades. It has also been demonstrably proven that social discrimination based on caste has nothing to do with your job or your income. Now, when these basic facts are ignored, it cannot possibly lead to a fruitful debate. I think the basic point@Spectrum is making is that whether social discrimination exists independent of economic status is not a matter of debate. It is a documented fact. I mean, it's not something you agree or disagree with. Just because you dont think the number five is actually the number five, it doesn't make a difference to the actual fact situation on the ground. Five comes after four and before six. You don't have to agree with it.
I agree with my friend above who said that the debate, as it is happening on the platform, is pointless.That is because it is not constructive the way it is happening. If we can agree on the basic fact that social discrimination is not economic discrimination, but also agree that there is a need to uplift the economically downtrodden,we could always be in a position where we can debate the form in which affirmative action must be undertaken both on the basis of caste and income.I don't understand people ignoring the discussion altogether saying it is pointless. It is one of the most important issues of our time. This is a beautiful democracy if we allow it to be. Please don't shy away from difficult conversations. I think we can always find a way to make them productive.
