Geography optional Mains 2019 discussion | Lessons Learnt
Where are all the poor souls of geo in forum ?
Guys... What do you think about paper 1 ? Would it be like 2017 where people claimed they got much more than expected due to some lenient correction ?
Similarly in paper 2 I found that I had very less case studies and facts to quote on paper. Pls do comment so that we can have a gauge of the way optional is going.

@Bubba_gumpcannot comment on marks. But I think above 12 would be a good score.
@jumboI was not well prepared for optional paper .So I just made a july rainfall pattern graph and shown how distict vegetation different region have .
@jumbothis was one of the easiest question I think. Rainfall pattern in time and space with reasons maps and diagrams. Vegetation diagram and correlated with rainfall. I don't know what different one could write in this.
@Hartshorneyeah ....It's same 2maps (rainfall pattern +regional distribution) + maps of vegetation with mountain and non -mountain vegetation...

@Arrah_JilaSimilar situation here. I knew boundary classification, but didn't know it was given by Harthshorne. left it completely blank. Phreatic blank. NRR incorrect. Rest paper was ok. I am hoping for 130+. Scaling should happen. Most of other optional paper 1 were too easy.

Bro this geo spoilt the game for me last time.i would be happy if i get 240+ this time.else i will switch optional.

Expecting 120 and 140 this time

AND ACCORDING TO 2017 MARKING (86 MARKS I got ..Hope was about 110 )...i was. Hopping for 100-110 marks for 2018 paper ...But surprisingly i got 123
...So on that basis ....This year ...phretic left, nrr not good,amensalism hindi ki karan kharab (i wrote on सहजीविता),PET avg. , Rest were good.........But ...Feeling ye h ki bde question last year se better hue h ...Comments m kuch loss h ...Overall last year se better ki ummid h baki kuch kh nhi skte
