[Results] Prelims 2020 Over - Gearing for 2021
Because of the corona virus issue? If it does not happen then worst affected will be people whose interview is stuck, around 600-700 such people I think are yet to appear for their interview.

17th, because of a new set of guidelines will be coming on that day for lockdown 4. We will get to see the government's plans for the future regarding reopening and all. Will get to know the general trend of things!
With a new set of guidelines regarding access and movement, Maybe, that contraceptive survey may adapt accordingly and update the availability to July end! Maybe! :P

Upsc will check your temperature and then let u in.
If ur temperature is not normal ,will upsc let u take exam ,risking other candidates?
Tempr may rise due to other medical factor too !
The best thing upsc can do is use all district as exam centre.
Well all district have dm sdm who can take care of rest.
What if someone is asymptomatic? Most of the infections are transmitted in that stage and thermal screening cannot detect it.
Guys , I will not let upsc conduct the exam this year. See the situation of the countries where lock down eased up, I am emerging again.. In india I will reach the peak in june july and subside in August September So the conclusion is...
1st :: Exam can not be conducted till September , if upsc decides to conduct the exam then it will issue a notice prior to 30 days , it means November is the month when exam can be conducted...
2:: If i come with second wave after easing up lockdown then sabhi log bhool he jaao is saal exam...

I don't see any way how can the exam be conducted this year even. Unless there is a vaccine, allowing such a large gathering of students would be a huge huge risk. The protest will come largest from urban middle class civil society. The closest date for a vaccine to be available is September. And that too is not 100% sure that it will work. And even if it works to achieve a 70% immunisation would be a huge task in Itself. To manufacture that amount of vaccine would take months even though SII has told that It has started production at Its own risk.
This idea of selectively allowing some students inside the center on the basis of thermal screening will meet challenge in the supreme court if they decide to implement it. There are multiple possibilities in such a scenario. What if someone is asymptomatic? What if someone has and has taken crocin? WhaT if someone is unfortunate so as to contract it at the most crucial poInt of their life. This number would be in thoUsands I am sure if not lakhs. What if someone contracts it during the exam? And something adverse happens to him/her. Whose responsibility would that be? These are some questions that I feel would defer the exam to next year until vaccine comes Out.
had that been the case then universities +jee +neet would not have announced their dates....everyone is realising that we have to live with it...also 70 % of cases are asymptomatic( 70% chances that we are also affected) that doesn't mean that everyone will isolate themselves.... show must go on.
Osho,If UPSC conducts this exam in the present situation, it's definitely going to be a huge issue, and will ultimately land in SC. To avoid this, UPSC can conduct exam in online mode, at centres in every district. That's the only way this can happen. Otherwise, it's definitely going to be postponed until next year, or until the situations are stable.

I think govt logo ko jarurat ke hisab se aur number of vacancies ke adhar par recruit karti hai. Number of employees in a department constant hi rahte honge.
