Statement 1 is correct. Leader of opposition is present in each house of Parliament; he is the leader of the largest opposition party having not less than one-tenth seats of the total strength of the house.

Statement 2 is correct. They are entitled to the salary, allowances and facilities equivalent to that of a cabinet minister.

Statement 3 is incorrect. A leader of opposition, officially for the first time was recognized in 1969. But in 1977 the position of leader of opposition in both houses was accorded statutory recognition.
