If Svanidhi scheme is launched by Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs then why and how Rural vendors get benefit of the said scheme as per statement 2 of Question 9?
The doubt is legitimate as is the source for the statement. As per the PIB release the said scheme is a Credit Facility Scheme is launched by MoHUA and the intended beneficiaries are per-urban/rural vendors.
The release itself says “This is for the first time in India’s history that street vendors from peri- urban/ rural areas have become beneficiaries of an urban livelihood programme.”
Extra info : Government release says that a digital platform is being developed to administer the scheme, this platform will integrate with UdyamiMitra portal of SIDBI for credit management and PAiSA portal of MoHUA to administer interest subsidy automatically.
