UPSC CSE Prelims 2021

Due to a large number of candidates for the UPSC CSE Prelims 2021 examination [including the Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination, 2021], and the addition of four centres at Almora and Srinagar in Uttarakhand, Nasik in Maharashtra, and Surat in Gujarat, the UPSC is now giving an opportunity to fill the revised choice of center for prelims (for both CSE and IFS).

UPSC CSE 2021 Prelims - Update

  • The window of submitting the revised choice of centres on the Commission’s website https://upsconline.nic.in will be operational in two phases, i.e.
    • 12th-19th July 2021 (06.00 PM)
    • 2021 (06.00 PM)
  • Requests for change in the centres will be considered based on the principle of a “first-apply, first-allot” basis and once the capacity of a particular Centre is attained, the same will be frozen and will not be visible to the candidate. The candidate will then be required to choose a Centre from the remaining ones.
  • The UPSC CSE Prelims 2021 and IFS Prelims 2021 exams will be held on October 10. The exam was earlier scheduled to be held on June 27 but was deferred amid the pandemic.

Note: Change of centres is not mandatory. If required, only then you should change your centre.
