About: The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying is implementing National Programme for Dairy Development scheme since 2014-15 with the objective to create and strengthen dairy infrastructure for procurement, processing and marketing of milk and milk products by the State Implementing Agencies (SIAs) i.e. State Cooperative Dairy Federations/ District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union.
Aim: The NPDD scheme is designed to provide technical and financial assistance for the dairy development and thereby creating any infrastructure related to the processing, production, marketing and procurement by the milk federation/unions while extending their activities by providing training facilities to the farmers.
