Q1) What are the present challenges before 5g services rollout? How 5G
technology, in particular, can enable growth and offer job opportunities in India?

Answer: 5g is the next generation cellular technology that will provide faster and more reliable communication with ultra-low latency. It can deliver max speeds of up to 2-20 Gigabit per second (Gbps).

Still, there are challenges that it must overcome first:
– Issues of infrastructure: 5G offers higher speed and bandwidth, but its range is limited. This will require investments in scaling up infrastructure in cities and in rural areas.
– Higher cost to customers: Companies will need funds to build networks. This means costlier recharge options for the customers.
– Expensive devices: Though available, 5G-enabled devices are costlier as compared to devices without it. This cost will come down gradually as the proliferation of 5G increases and manufacturers start producing devices at scale.

Despite all these challenges, 5G offers many benefits for India. For instance:
– Growth of digital technology in healthcare: Advanced medical procedures can be performed by professionals due to reliable high speeds. This will also allow real-time monitoring of patients without any lag.
– Use in agriculture: Smart devices running on 5G will benefit farmers. Farmers can track the location of their livestock easily. Moreover, sensors can be utilised for smart drip irrigation methods, thereby increasing water-use efficiency.
– Logistics and shipping industry can implement high-speed tracking solutions to increase overall productivity.
– High speeds will result in growth of media industry, resulting in more jobs.

5G is the next frontier in wireless technology. It will revolutionize the way the world functions by integrating highly reliable internet connectivity with its every facet. Therefore, India should start prioritizing it to reap benefits in the long run.

Very nice answer, You can make certain additions
1. In challenges, spectrum management is a major issue as is evident from the roll-out in the US (airports had to shut down operations). Also there is lack of consensus on the 5G-standards.
2. In opportunities, you can mention IoT, Tele-education, greater connectivity of devices which will enhance business productivity etc. Moreover deployment and maintenance of 5G infra is expected to create livelihood opportunities.
