Questions
1) What are the “positive indigenization lists” (PILs), and how have they contributed to the process of indigenization? Also, discuss the implications of the increasing import curbs on specified weapons and defence kits by the government.
2) In the light of the findings of the recent scientific committee led by T P Rajendran, discuss the challenges associated with the ban on pesticide use in India. Highlight some major recommendations of the international code of conduct on pesticide management in this regard.
