The Umbrella Movement was a political movement that emerged during the Hong Kong democracy protests of 2014.
In 1997, when China assumed control of Hong Kong from Britain, the city residents were promised universal suffrage by 2017. China backtracked on this promise when it published a white paper in 2014, and only allowed pro-Beijing candidates to contest the city elections. There were also attempts to change the liberal curriculum in Hong Kong. In the wake of these unpopular measures, large scale pro-democracy protests kicked off, and between 1-1.5 lakh Hong Kongers occupied streets and government buildings for three months in 2014.

While India’s life expectancy at birth is lower than the world’s (69 years to 72), it scores higher than the global average in terms of access to healthcare during childbirth, and also has a much lower adolescent birth rate.
China, the world’s most populous country at 1.42 billion, has a population growth rate of 0.5% per year between 2010 and 2019, which is less than half of that in India or in the world. India accounts for over one-sixth of the world’s population in 2019 (1.37 billion out of 7.71 billion) and has grown at an rate (1.2% per year between 2010 and 2019) that is just over the world growth rate (1.2%), according to State of the World Population 2019

The IRGC was set up in 1979 after Ayatollah Khomeini’s Islamic Revolution as an ideologically-driven branch of the armed forces of Iran, to protect the newly established Islamic system from hostile foreign powers and internal dissensions.
Recently IRGC is announced as foreign terrorist organisation by US.

The Assam Rifles is the oldest paramilitary force of India. Assam Rifles operates in the North Eastern part of India and complements the Indian Army in countering the insurgency and guarding the borders.
The Assam Rifles was formed under the British in 1835 by the name of Cachar Levy and had a number of names — the Assam Frontier Police (1883), the Assam Military Police (1891) and Eastern Bengal and Assam Military Police (1913) before finally becoming the Assam Rifles in 1917.
The administrative control of Assam Rifles lies with the Home Ministry, while the operational control is with the Defence Ministry. The dual leadership has caused administrative problems and many Assam Rifle personnel were being deprived of promotion due to dual control.

A heat wave is a period of abnormally high temperatures-more than the normal maximum temperature that occurs during the summer season. Heat wave is considered if maximum temperature of a station reaches at least 40°C or more for Plains, 37°C or more for coastal stations and at least 30°C or more for Hilly regions.
There has been a high number of sunstroke/heatstroke cases in Andhra Pradesh which is reeling under heat wave conditions. The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority has been implanting a heat wave action plan to mitigate and response to the impact of heat waves.

India has successfully test-fired its long-range subsonic cruise missile Nirbhay from a test range in Odisha. It has been indigenously designed & developed by Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO).
Nirbhay is an all-weather low-cost long-range cruise missile with stealth and high accuracy.The missile has a range of more than 1000 km.
The missile has the capability to cruise at 0.7 Mach,at altitudes as low as 100 m.Its relatively slow flight speed allows it to navigate its way precisely to the target.
The Nirbhay cruise missile is an Indian version of the American Tomahawk.The missile is capable of being launched from multiple platforms on land,sea and air.
