Look like something went wrong. Try to identify where is the issue. revise if it was an old topic. Read it from standard sources if it was a new topic for you. Good luck

Can u plzz tell whether CAG has power to audit reports on poaching etc

Question on Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary : it was in news bcoz CAG reports poaching like that.

CAG do financial audits , so how that’s possible that it had reported for poaching.

He can do that.
A/c SC judgement over 2g spectrum coal block allotments Honorable SC said CAG is not a accountant he is a constitutional authority who can examine the revenue allocation and matters relating to the economy. He is principal auditor whose function bis to go into the economy effectiveness and efficiency of the use of resources by the gov.
Since nal sarovar falls under the resource of gov of Gujrat ( state is earning tourist money from it basically) CAG can scold gov of Gujrat with matter realting to that,Gujrat gov didn’t allocated any fund for the protection of birds from pochers.
And can report issue while presenting reports of state account in financial year.
Hope this helps.
Let me know if you found any extra info.

Hi abhay …the second statement is “salaries, allowances and pensions payable to Judges of Supreme Courts & High Courts”, the statement is incorrect because the only pensions of judges high courts are charged upon consolidated fund of India, their salaries & allowances are charged upon consolidated funds of respective states. For further details please refer to article 112 and 202 of Indian constitution.
