Q2. “It refers to post under the central government.” There is nowhere written word “only.” Why is this wrong. @forumias-7f07ca326ce76cdde680e4b3d568bce8:disqus
Although only is not mentioned but the statement is not exhaustive….hence wrong probably…. The same in case of member of parliament…..what about state legislative assemblies? We have the concept of office of profit there even.
Office of profit refers to office under government and not specifically to central government. Suppose parliament passes a law for all citizens. Then someone says that parliament passed a law for lady citizens. It is right logically. But a little devious in sense. What say?

Q2. “It refers to post under the central government.”
There is nowhere written word “only.”
Why is this wrong.
@forumias-7f07ca326ce76cdde680e4b3d568bce8:disqus
Incomplete statement I think.
Although only is not mentioned but the statement is not exhaustive….hence wrong probably…. The same in case of member of parliament…..what about state legislative assemblies? We have the concept of office of profit there even.
agree with you…..
That statement is only partially correct…
If it needs to be fully correct….then the statement should be…,”It refers to post under Central govt and State govt”
Office of profit refers to office under government and not specifically to central government. Suppose parliament passes a law for all citizens. Then someone says that parliament passed a law for lady citizens. It is right logically. But a little devious in sense. What say?
