Chandrayaan-2 is India’s second mission to the Moon and a totally indigenous mission comprising of an Orbiter, Lander and Rover. After reaching the 100 km lunar orbit, the Lander housing the Rover will separate from the Orbiter.

After a controlled descent, the Lander will soft land on the lunar surface at a specified site and deploy a Rover. The instruments on the rover will observe the lunar surface and send back data, which will be useful for analysis of the lunar soil.

The Chandrayaan-2 weighing around 3290 kg and would orbit around the moon and perform the objectives of remote sensing the moon. The payloads will collect scientific information on lunar topography, mineralogy, elemental abundance, lunar exosphere and signatures of hydroxyl and water-ice.

DCGI under gamut of Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) is responsible for approval of licenses of specified categories of drugs such as blood and blood products, vaccines, IV fluids and sera in India.

DCGI lays down standards and quality of manufacturing, selling, import and distribution of drugs in India. It acts as appellate authority in case of any dispute regarding quality of drugs.

It prepares and maintains national reference standard. It brings about uniformity in enforcement of Drugs and Cosmetics Act. It also trains Drug Analysts deputed by State Drug Control Laboratories and other Institutions.

Umang (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) is envisaged to make e-governance. The application is developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and National e-Governance Division (NeGD) in order to drive Mobile Governance in India.

Umang app basically provides a unified approach where you can install one application to avail multiple government services eg.,  making a passport, Aadhaar or Pan etc.

Gaganyaan Mission is India’s first manned space mission. Under it, India is planning to send three humans (Gaganyatris) into space i.e. in low earth orbit (LEO) by 2022.

Under this mission, crew of three astronauts will conduct experiments on microgravity in space.  The crew will be selected jointly by Indian Air Force (IAF) and ISRO after which they will undergo training for two-three years. This mission will make India fourth nation in the world after USA, Russia and China to launch human spaceflight mission.

It aims to enhance of science and technology levels in the country, serve as national project involving several institutes, academia and industry, improve of industrial growth, inspire youth, develop technology for social benefits and improve international collaboration.

Uttar Pradesh Government recently launched Women Empowerment Resolution Campaign to develop leadership capacities in women and make them vocal for their rights.

The purpose of this campaign is to ensure the empowerment of women through different programs in the state. Under it, the women employees of the state government will go to their house to know about schemes introduced by Center and the state government for women. Issues like education, self-employment, health, sanitation and nutrition will be included under this campaign.

For the operation of the programs, a 11-member team will be formed at each district and block level of states. There will be women belonging to six women employees and five self-help groups.

e-Sahaj’ portal was launched recently to facilitate individuals and private companies in seeking security clearance for setting up businesses in certain sensitive sector. The Home Ministry is the nodal authority for granting security clearances in certain sensitive sectors before license, permit, permission, contract etc is issued to companies, bidders, individuals by the administrative ministry. The objective of national security clearance is to evaluate potential security threats, including economic threats, and provide risk assessment before clearing investment and project proposals in key sectors
