Other than the conventional sources, can anybody suggest other means by which I can study during short intervals during work. I’m currently working as a Group II officer and trying to prepare for Civil Services . Basically i want to avoid going through the entire newspaper.
You may read Insights current affair on daily basis. It is good one. Also you may have look on daily editorials (5 to 6) on the same site, if tym permits you. For better coverage on C.Affairs, you may also have VIsion IAS PDF file on monthly basis.
Please look at the question before answering, I don’t have the time to read 5-6 editorials and pages and pages of PDF, I’m exhausted by the time I reach home.
Mam, sorry if used any offensive word so you asked me to look at the question first. By the way, your post is a query and seeking our suggestions. It is not like that you posted a question and we are bound to give correct answer. Second, In my suggestion, I mentioned editorials with “if tym permits” phrase. I know it is difficult to go through it in lesser tym but without reading editorials, preparation will never suppose to be completed (prelims may get cleared but forget about mains).
No need to overact unnecessarily, when you don’t have the common sense to type ‘time’, I don’t think you should be correcting others grammar/language. So stop posting useless comments and focus on the topic.
No need to interfere. Rather it is a common sense for all to understand tym as time. No difference in sense and understanding. And I have no interest in spamming.
Anushka Rao I am also a working professional like you and cleared this year prelims. I got to know about Smartabhyas app recently and it’s a really good app for civil services preparation. They provide daily affairs in crisp and simple way. If you face time crunch you can check their monthly compilation which is easy to refer and digest even during commute.
Niveditha, app is relevant for any exam having current affairs in the syllabus and it covers all the relevant national issues.

In Q 4, Natural resources has vast coverage. Does Green tribunal covers all? No. Further, GT doesn’t provide compensation rather it directs the government or competent authority to do so.
yes.. but it does have the authority to ask for compensation. Eg it did in Sri Sri Ravishankar’s case; so I think it covers that. While all complaints regarding lakes, rivers, pollution on road, etc… find coverage..so broad interpretation can be fine.

No need to apologise, thank you for the advise anyway.

Vaani, just had a look at the smart abhyas app that you suggested and at first glance it looks just perfect for my purpose! Thanks a lot!
Is the app only for UPSC or also useful for state service commission exam ?
