PM Surakshit Matritav Abhiyaan:

• to provide free health check-ups to pregnant women at government health centers and hospitals

Solar Development Fund (SDF):

• The Government of India (GoI) will set up a $350 million Solar Development Fund (SDF) for financing solar projects to achieve its ambitious target of adding 175 Giga Watts (GW) in renewable energy by 2022
• This announcement was during the Future World Energy Summit (WFES) 2018, organized by the International Solar Alliance (ISA) in Abu Dhabi (UAE).
• The ISA’s major objectives include global deployment of over 1,000GW of solar generation capacity and mobilisation of investment of over US$ 1000 billion into solar energy by 2030
• So far, 19 countries have ratified and 48 signed the ISA Framework Agreement.
• The YES Bank committed financing solar projects of over $5 Billion.
• ISA promotes actual on ground rolling out of solar projects.

iCREATE facility:

• iCREATE facility is Inaugrated by Indian PM and Israeli PM at Deo Dholera Village in Ahmedabad, Gujarat
• iCreate is an independent Centre aimed at facilitating entrepreneurship to deal with major issues such as food security, water, connectivity, cybersecurity, IT and electronics, energy, bio-medical equipment and devices etc.
• iCreate aims to develop an ecosystem in India to generate quality entrepreneurs.

CABE:

• CABE is the policy making advisory body of the HRD Ministry. The committee has representatives of central organisation, universities, state and bodies including planning commission, NGOs and civic society.
• The CABE committee headed by HRD Minister is generally made for three years.

NCDEX:

• The National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange Ltd (NCDEX) unveiled India’s first agricultural-commodity options in Guarseed designed as hedge for farmers to safeguard against price risks.
• It will contribute to the Prime Minister’s vision of doubling the farmers’ incomes by 2022.
• This new hedging tool, Agri-Options: Ek Aur Kadam Kisan Pragati Ki Ore, is set to mark an important evolution in trading of agriculture commodities market.
• NCDEX also launched com, a mobile app for farmers where they can learn more about Options and the commodity markets.

• The iconic Teen Murti Chowk in central New Delhi was renamed as Teen Murti-Haifa after Israeli City Haifa
• Teen Murti Chowk was named to mark role of the three cavalry regiments Hyderabad, Jodhpur and Mysore Lancers who were part of 15 Imperial Service Cavalry Brigade in British Indian Army and liberated Haifa in 1918 during WWI.
