Questions
1) The Bay of Bengal (the Bay) is significant in terms of geo-economic, geopolitical, and geo-cultural activities. In the light of the statement, highlight the challenges faced by the region and how the Centre for Bay of Bengal Studies (CBS) can be helpful in tackling those challenges
2) In light of the cataclysmic floods in Pakistan and the visible effects of climate change, discuss the measures required to tackle the challenges. How UNWC or the UNECE Water Convention can be helpful in tackling those challenges?

Great answer! Good content coverage.
– A better way could have been classifying the significance according to the question statement like geo-economic, geopolitical etc.
– Bay of Bengal is in India’s East, don’t mention Northeast.
– Point related to Sea Line of Communications (SLOCs) or Bay of Bengal gateway or Choke point at Malacca can be added in significance.
– To the extent possible, draw a map in such questions, just rough depiction of Bay of Bengal and littoral states.
Overall it’s a nice answer!
Thank you! Will work upon your feedback.
Awesome! Well structured and relevant content. Also mention SLOCs and choke points etc. If possible, draw a rough map also. It will help get more marks.
sure
Great answer! Very good point regarding SAARC and ASEAN, you can actually replace SAARC with BIMSTEC there as India’s emphasis is on BIMSTEC now.
Nice use of the map as well. You should have touched the significance of BoB as well (geo-economic/political etc. as mentioned in the question statement). Rest seems great!
Thanks

Excellent answer! Very nice map with proper depiction. Since You have shown Str. of Malacca, mention choke point also in geopolitical significance. Under economic dimension use BIMSTEC instead of SAARC. The conclusion is bit abrupt. Since marine environment has been a key theme in the answer, You can mention SDG life under water to conclude.
I will keep the context of question in mind for conclusion as well. And yes BIMSTEC should be there.
Thank you:)

Good answer! In challenges, highlight the dimension of lack of sharing of hydrological data and unilateral actions without information (like release of water from dams). Both these aspects are vital in that they can help in taking mitigating steps in time. Both these challenges are addressed through the provisions of the treaties.
Yes will add these points
Thanks:)

Great answer! I feel the dimension of significance could have been described better, like You can tabulate under 3 columns economic, political, cultural, and include more points like trade, communications (Bay of Bengal Gateway), choke points (strategic). Some aspirants have mentioned BoB as bridge between ASEAN and BIMSTEC, which is a very significant aspect. Also draw a map, it will help to get more credit, shows Your clarity also. A rough map will do.

Awesome answer! Very nice approach to cover the challenges and measures, nice presentation. Nothing to suggest here!
Good answer! You should also cover the significance of the BoB after introduction. The challenges have been described in a great detail, perhaps you can club some points under single header and cut down on words. You can use tables, diagrams to cover more content in less words. Try doing that.
A rough map would be useful.
Thank you! Will keep those points in mind from now on.
Good answer! Good coverage under threats and role of CBS. But include the significance of the Bay also as mentioned in the question statement. Many points can be provided here. A map would be useful here.
Good answer! The introduction can be improved a bit. The diagram is a bit vague, You can actually describe the respective significance under these dimensions. In challenges more points can be added like geopolitical instability in the periphery.
While addressing the use of CBS, give the relevant title.
To the extent possible, use specific titles/headings as per the need of the question rather than generic (like benefits). Good attempt, with some margin for improvement.
Look great! In challenges, do elaborate in 1-2 line how lack of hydrological data or info about activities like release of water lead to greater damage. Rest is good!
Thank you
Looks great! Only suggestion would be to classify the significance under different heads like economic, geopolitical etc. Also mention BIMSTEC instead of SAARC. Rest is great!
Thank you ☺
Good answer! Issues have been covered well. The introduction should be more about Bay of Bengal rather than BIMSTEC. Some of the points related to CBS could have been added like interdisciplinary research cooperation etc.
In map, you need not draw all of India, just show peninsular region, and the bay, will save time.
Okay thanks 😊
Good answer! You could have started with 1-2 lines of introduction. Also please cross-check 90% trade through BoB. It should be less, ~90% is the sea trade, so probably will be split between Arabian Sea and BoB, east/west ports. Rest seems good!
