Union Human Resource Development Minister Shri Praksh Javadekar launched PARAM-ISHAN supercomputing facility at IIT, Guwahati in 2016. It has a peak computing power of 250 Teraflops and three hundred tera bites capacity. It has been jointly developed by IIT Bombay and C-DAC (Centre for Development of Advance Computing). It will help to augment the research initiatives and also in creating an ecosystem for attracting the right talents to the field of research.
