Why in the News?
The Ministry of Home Affairs has authorized the construction of 113 roads as part of the Vibrant Village Programme, focusing on enhancing connectivity in regions along the borders of Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Sikkim.

Strategic Importance and Objectives | 1. Strategic Objective: This move motivates residents to stay in border villages, aiding in intelligence gathering. 2. Countermeasure: This will address Chinese expansion of model villages near the Line of Actual Control. |
