Explanation – The Krishna River originates in the Western Ghats near Mahabaleshwar, in the Satara district of Maharashtra.  It flows eastward through the Indian states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh, before emptying into the Bay of Bengal. Its Right-Bank Tributaries are: Tungabhadra River, Ghataprabha River, Malaprabha River, Koyna River, Panchganga River and Dudhganga River. Its Left-Bank Tributaries are: Bhima River, Musi River, Munneru River, Paleru River, Haliya and Dindi Rivers.
