It is one of the most significant forms in Western classical music. A symphony is designed to showcase the expressive power of an orchestra. It often conveys a wide range of emotions and ideas through its movements. The first Indian, and likely the first Asian musician, to compose a full symphony is Ilaiyaraaja.
