  • Guided by: The operation is guided by Indias Neighbourhood First policy and Vision MAHASAGAR (Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions).
  • Delivered by
    • First consignment: Indian Navy’s INS Vikrant and INS Udaygiri delivered about 20 tons of relief material to Sri Lanka.
    • Second consignment: An Indian Air Force C-130J aircraft delivered nearly 12 tons of humanitarian aid to Sri Lanka.

  • Formation: It formed over the southwest Bay of Bengal near Sri Lanka’s southeastern coast.
  • Naming: It was named Ditwah by Yemen, after the Detwah Lagoon on Socotra Island.
