Q. You’ve just joined the Dept of Post in October. Why have you changed job from Kerala to Lucknow?

Q. All right, let’s talk about the Indian financial system, if you are comfortable answering otherwise we can discuss something else.
A. I’m comfortable
Q. You’re from computer science background, name any 3 major services in India’s digital sphere and e-governance which can be termed as revolutionary
A. The first one is UPI
Q. How does UPI work?
Q. Yes UPI is revolutionary. What about the other two.
A. Another can be Digilocker
Q. Digilocker is fine but I don’t think it’s revolutionary as such.

Q. These services are unique to India. It’s even bigger than UPI
A. Told about the credit system in NEP
Q. No, it is useless as of now and I don’t think it will ever be revolutionary.
A. Aadhar can be termed as revolutionary.
Q. Yes, Aadhar is most important. How does Aadhar work?
Q. Only biometrics? What other information does it have?
Q. So it does have other information about an individual. What is biometric?
Q. What is the third revolutionary service?
A. I’m not able to recall any.
Q. Have you heard about GST? What is it?
Q. How does one file for GST
A. I’m not sure ma’am but there is a portal where information have to filled and it calculated GST accordingly.
Q. What is that portal called?
A. I’m sorry, I don’t know.
Q. We have been seeing that there is a huge infrastructure boost going on in India. Ports, Railways, roadways and other infrastructure projects are going on. How is the government able to finance all these projects?

A. National Infrastructure Project
Q. It’s pipeline not project. What is the difference between pipeline and project?
A. Answered vaguely and not accurately.

A. It’s something related to infrastructure financing but I’m sorry ma’am, I don’t know.
Q. You were saying that you’ll talk about the financial system and now you’re saying that you don’t know. You should’ve told me previously, I would have asked something else.

A. Child marriage; women safety
Q. How will you solve child marriage. Let’s say you’re the DM of the district and you got information about child marriage

A. Don’t know the exact sections but it is punishable offence and will take action accordingly
Q. What else you’ll do?
Q. How exactly you’ll spread awareness

Q. You’re PSIR student. Monologue about chaos in liberal international order. Why is it happening and give examples

Q. Let’s continue with IR. PM Modi has recently visited few European countries. We are even discussing FTA. Why Europe and India are important for each other and what can India offer Europe.
Q. India and Canada relations deteriorated in recent past. Why?
Q. Nijjar is only ‘citizen’? Which Indian communities live there?
Q. Rajasthan is known for its tourism industry. Why Rajasthan performs so well in tourism?
Q. Only geography is the reason for tourism?
Q. Kerala also has these things. It is now giving stiff competition to Rajasthan in tourism. Why would one go to Rajasthan then?

Chairperson told me that my interview is over and that I can go
I said thank you and left
Chairperson was very strict all through the interview. Never smiled, made faces showcasing dissatisfaction when she was asking while never looking all through the interview. She was noting something at all times and was attentively listening.
Other members were fine and mostly cordial, unlike chairperson. I enjoyed the conversation but it was not totally a conversation, rather Q&A of sorts where they wanted to hear particular things from me. Very very different from any mock I’ve given.
Minimal question from DAF and the interview was not even current affairs dominated which was a surprise. It was new
