News: CALM-Brain was launched on March 25, 2026 as India’s first digital repository on psychiatric disorders to advance research, diagnosis, and treatment.
About CALM-Brain

- CALM-Brain is a first-of-its-kind open-source digital repository on brain structure and function in psychiatric disorders.
- Developed by: It has been developed by the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) and the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) – TIFR under the Rohini Nilekani Centre for Brain and Mind (CBM).
- Objective: The main objective is to identify biomarkers, understand disease progression, and study treatment responses for better clinical outcomes.
