Chinese President will be visiting the ancient city of Varanasi to attend the second informal summit after Wuhan.The summit will be hosted by Indian Prime Minister(PM).
This summit will also mark the completion of 70 years since diplomatic relations between India and China came into existence.
This high-level mechanism is only the third ministerial level channel between India and China.The other two are between the two Commerce Ministries and the Special Representatives on the boundary question.
India’s participation in the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership(RCEP) is also expected to be discussed during this visit.
