News:State-owned construction firm NBCC (India) has signed a contract with Department of Sports for development of National Sports University at Imphal, Manipur.

About National Sports University(NSU):
- National sports university will be set up in Imphal,Manipur.
- The University will be the first one of its kind to promote sports education in areas of sports science, sports medicine, sports technology, sports management and sports coaching.
- NSU will have the flexibility to open new schools or departments in consonance with the advances and developments in sports science, sports medicine as well as allied areas.
- It will also function as national training centre for selected sports disciplines by adopting best international practices.
