1) Near-universal social security pensions would be a good start to a radical expansion of public support for the elderly. In light of the statement, comment on the need for moving from targeted to near-universal pensions for elderly people. Also, enumerate the government initiatives in this regard.
2) Highlight the graveness of the doctor- drugmaker nexus in India. What measures are required to keep this nexus at bay?
