News: Greek media has reported that more than 300 migrants have been rescued off Crete coast in last few days.
About Crete Island

- Location: Crete island is located in the southern part of the Aegean Sea (a part of the Mediterranean Sea) and is a part of Greece.
- It is the largest island in Greece and the fifth largest in the Mediterranean Sea.
- Borders: The island is bordered by the Sea of Crete to the north, the Libyan Sea to the south, the Myrtoan Sea to the west, and the Carpathian Sea to the east.
