Anushka Sharma possesses a deep love for music, and whenever she took breaks from her UPSC exam preparation, she would indulge in listening to music. Anushka also expressed her fondness for dancing, emphasizing that she stayed actively engaged in dance and exercise even while preparing for the UPSC exam.

Anoushka maintained a typical daily study routine of 8–10 hours, but as the exams drew near, she extended her study hours to 14–15 hours per day for both UPSC Prelims and UPSC Mains. She tailored her book list according to insights from successful candidates and, given her background in Economics, selected it as her optional subject for its convenience.
Sharing her approach, Anoushka described her compilation of concise notes and book lists, especially for subjects like Geography and History. She diligently revised these notes regularly. For mains, she devised a structured framework for 250-word answers, incorporating key facts, definitions, pros, cons, and solutions. This enabled her to have a template in mind for addressing various questions. She further honed her skills through solving previous years’ questions and participating in mock tests for both UPSC Prelims and UPSC Mains.
Offering guidance to aspirants, Anoushka emphasized self-belief, the importance of having a well-defined strategy, and the need to persevere through setbacks. She stressed the value of learning from one’s mistakes and maintaining a strong work ethic to reap the rewards of hard work. Notably, Anoushka did not enroll in any coaching institute but relied on mock tests to gauge her level of preparedness.
