The Focus Article of EPIC September 2023 covers the G20 Leaders’ Summit and Outcomes. The 18th G20 Leaders’ Summit was held under India’s Presidency in New Delhi. Many Foreign Policy Experts have termed the Summit as landmark because of several reasons. The Leaders agreed to add the African Union as the 21st member of the Group. Another remarkable outcome was that the Leaders’ Declaration was adopted unanimously despite deepening differences between the Russia/China and the US-led western nations. This was hailed as achievement for India’s diplomacy and its ability to bring every one on the table. Other significant outcomes during the event included the Launch of India-Middle East-Europe Corridor (IMEC), Global Biofuel Alliance (GBA) and the One Future Alliance. The progress on Climate Action remained dismal though.
