Take rest for a day, and get started. Take a break after a month. You have built a good momentum studying. Make use of this to get a headstart. You can take rest after a month when you are really tired.

What was your strategy for the preparation for paper-1?
Normal books and current affair stuff. But gave lot of mock test so that I got experience in handling difficult questions and I made lot of calculated risks and guess today which helped.

I attempted 86 questions and 68 were correct in it. I joined clearias and forumias series . My optional political science
Oh… I attempted 85 , correct-53 score around 84. Also, I did some silly mistakes over which I’m pondering so as to not to repeat it again. Did any questions were related from the test series indirectly or directly to the Upsc question?

Veterans, please help and answer my query. I don’t know how cut off is determined!
Cut Off is Decided ONLY on the basis of PAPER-1 Score (i.e.out of 200) ,And Paper 2 score is not considered but one must have to score minimum 66.66 marks in CSAT (PAPER-2) .
Usually UPSC releases answer key afer 2-3 weeks of exam date.
The cut off depends upon the vacancy and the difficulty level of the paper. There will be about 15000-16000 people who will qualify & get mains Hall Ticket. last year, the cut-off for open was 110 while this year’s cutoff will also be around 100-115 but not more than 115 (according to my coaching faculty)
, And pls dont get worried about cut-off , if u have scored more than 105 then keep faith on yourself , Be positive and start preparing for mains.

hey! i made a major blunder by writing paper 1 instead of paper 2 in csat paper in omr colum! what will happen. Anything i can do to undo it
UPSC does not give you chance to say that I was a deserving candidate and was disqualified because of a silly mistake. There are plenty of such examples, they have multiple ways to remove such possibilities. Only thing to worry is your marks in paper itself. I hope it helped 🙂

Hi ! Guys. Yesterday while attempting UPSC CSE PAPER 2 some of my rough work got printed on the answer sheet ( in the blank part of my answer sheet just next to the part where we encode our seat number and test sheet series number) as it was kept beneath my test paper. I am really worried for that thing. Does UPSC reject such answer sheets ? ( rest of the answers sheet is clear). Someone please answer my query.

hi all.. in paper 2 we have to get 33% to pass.. , some are saying 66 marks is pass mark for paper 2.. whereas 33% for 80 questions comes to 52.
