Good Luck Happens To People Who Work Hard For It—–

Good luck happens to people who work hard for it;this quotes aptly indicates that.Hard work and perseverance are the cornerstones to success, but it’s the reason for your success, it’s the requirement So luck really does come to those who work hard.

Refusal to Quit—Whenever we are pursuing our dreams and goals, we are always tempted to quit. It’s just human nature. Things can get insanely hard, and sometimes it’s just easier to walk away than to fight. How do successful people know that they are not giving up no matter what? Many times the difference between people who live their dreams and those who don’t, is that many quit before it’s even possible. Success is a game of endurance and you have to stick it out.

Indian Software genius changed the way indian software industries works and is perceived by the world. He had a dream but no money to go ahead.Infosys Started by Murthy after borrowing a small amount from his wife .The company had no phone ,car or an independent office. The company was about to collapse in the early years ,but Murthy did not leave and
rest is history
The people that typically end up being successful are those that refuse to call it quits. They are the ones that will keep going no matter what. Eventually, that hard work will prove itself worthwhile and people will say “finally, some luck.” No, not luck, that’s just your determination finally paying off.

No Such Thing as No–It reminds us the Nelson Mandela’s revolt against the Apartheid. Mandela’s arrest led to an international outcry against South Africa which helped it end the Apartheid. After many social activities, violations and campaign,SOUTH AFRICA was announced to free from APARTHEID LAW.
In the face of immense adversity, the people who end up being successful aren’t those that get lucky and catch a break. It’s
those that refuse to take no for an answer and keep pushing even when something seems impossible.

Rejection is hard. Fighting for your goals is hard. Hearing no time and time is hard. But every time someone says no to you, it should light an even deeper fire that forces you to keep going. With a lot of hard work and a bit of luck, all the pieces will fit precisely into place.

Seizing Opportunity–If you think about all of the times you thought you’ve been “lucky,” you might come to realize that a certain opportunity presented itself because you worked your ass off doing something else.

Who would forget the GANDHI Ji ,NEHRU’s role and how they seized the opportunity againat all odds they faced during Indias’ STRUGGLE of INDEPENDECE,they took responsibility and fought against BRITISH.Had they not been involved and grab the opportunity of INDIAS’ INDEPENDENCE,Our country had not been got independence.Their struggle led the rulers to think of the transfer of power into Indian hands. They made the British realize that their rule in India was wrong and unjust.
It also reminds us the LATE Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar and his life long struggle to a great extent on the various problematic conditions as he had been subjected to deprivations, miseries, humiliations, oppressions and denials in every worthy aspect of human life. But these things only made him more stronger.
It was at that moment one can realized that luck isn’t really luck at all. It’s taking an opportunity that presents itself because you’ve earned it. Luck is all able being at the right place at the right time.

People today tend to misattribute the results of hard work and diligence to simple blind luck. Too many people ascribe to luck things which are actually the result of careful planning, research and “business smarts.” For example, some people said that someone was lucky when his initial product offering was successful. However, he was confident that his product would be a hit even before he started manufacturing it. This is because he spent thousands of dollars on market research
and focus groups. It was this investment, not luck, which ensured the early success of his business.Again, this victory was the result of diligence rather than luck.GooD LUCK FAVOURS HIM BECAUSE HE WORKED FOR IT.

Gandhi Ji once said, “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” There’s no doubt that every day is a gift, and the gift is an opportunity to live, to learn, and to grow

We should be thankful to the lord who has made us lucky enough to get the opportunities in life apart from the efforts we put in all and the experience he got through we all have to work hard to get the best in life GOOd LUCK and HARD WORK Goes Hand in hand.

The conclusion is really impressive, specially the quotation by Gandhiji. I think introduction could have been better (You can use Napolean’s example) and there are some grammatical mistakes in every paragraph. Rest of the content is good. Hope it helps.

Hi Jyoti,
Multiple dimensions need to be incorporated like only hardworking is not enough ,sometimes people attitude like not giving up matters ,innovation, focus, perseverence, communication etc many aspects are there .
Conclusion has to be improved by incorporating single line summary of each of the main paragraphs written in the essay and should end with a couple of conclusive lines which may be either decisive, futuristic, optimistic etc.

Please don’t use phrases like “ass off” in the essay.

Examples are good..
Keep writing..

This is good. There are 3-4 ways of beginning an essay such as (a) definitional approach (b) analogy (c) story (d) dialetic. You have followed (c).

Good Luck Happens to People who work Hard for it

When it was asked to IRA Singla how she topped Civil services Examination, She said she picked books just 15 days prior to the exam and wrote what she feels like. People were quick to point that her topping one of the most prestigious examination of the world is pure luck. What they fail to see that she has accumulated this knowledge with years of dedicated preparation and hard work. She was already an IRS. A lot of people say Civil services exam is more luck than hard work. Then how come the likes of Gaurav Aggarwal, IRA singla and many more ace it again and again.

Luck is the favourable outcome when the outcome can go either way. What we fail to understand is that hard work makes probability of outcome, going in our favour.

Of the 2000 years of history of our country, there were only a handful of kings who make a mark on our history. Although region around patliputra, the capital of mauryas was resource rich It was the hard work of Chandragupta maurya and Chankaya which made it possible to exploit these resources and first time make most part of India united under a single kingdom. Same goes for the zeal and hard work of samudragupta. Alexandra was termed as world conqueror because he invested years of his life perfecting warfare techniques.

We can say that opposition parties are not that strong in India in current time compared to the ruling party and its luck factor for the ruling party to be so formidable. But no one can deny the hard work done by our honourable prime minister rising from a simple tea seller to our Prime minister. Barack Obama was the first black president of United States of America. It was not because women and liberals confirming to the ideals of Democratic Party vote for him. but because from getting into Harvard university to getting votes from electoral college and getting across his vision to voters he make it
happen.

We are going towards a knowledge based society. Artificial intelligence, robotics will be our future. It is believed as japan has strength in these fields it will be a global leader in near future. But it is not shear luck that japan has stumble upon this situation. A country with mostly barren soil it made hydroponics where plants without soil can be grown. It suffers from earthquakes but it developed expertise to predict, adapt and mitigate earthquakes and through all these developed a economy which is business friendly and innovation driven. Singapore is said to be lucky as it is easy to manage a small and resourceful country. But few knows that till 1960 corruption was rampant and with inefficient administration. Singapore was a average state in terms of development. But it invigorate itself, transform its bureaucracy, resonate its laws and make its economy business friendly. Now in ease of doing business it finds itself always in top 10 countries of the world. Mukesh Ambani is termed lucky to inherit large pool of money. But he is not india’s richest man due to inheritance but due to his
vision and hard work culminating into ideas like JIO which has right now the largest internet users in a country like ours who is bound to have more youngsters and thus internet users.

Our eastern states like Orissa, Jharkhand are lucky to be resource rich states but it is the western states like Gujarat, Maharashtra who are miles ahead in terms of development with fewer resources compared to eastern states. It is the hard work of these states to give a stable non violent environment and efficient administration to business community which
has made it happen. A lot of physical handicap people go on to eclipse Mount Everest, swim English channels. If it is the luck to get a healthy body they are the most unlucky ones but due to hard work they achieve these feats. Israel is also
an unlucky country surrounded by not a single friendly country but due its hard work culminating into innovation in weapons and security apparatus it is given as an example how a country should handle its security.

If you sit idle and expect riches there are very few instances where you can get what you want. When you try it half heartily, chances of you not getting the desired outcome is quite good. But when you put your heart, your soul into something there are big chances things will go in your favour. Even if they don’t, chances are still better than the first two instances. After all “Fortune favours the brave” analogy has been proved utmost times.

Hi Jai, gave a brisk reading to you essay, and this is what I have to say
1. Avoid giving political examples- Your example of PM’s rags to riches is accurate but not apt from the exam POV, in my opinion.
2. You gave too many examples and revolved around the central idea- that hard work brings luck with it. You mentioned Japan and there was an opportunity for you to showcase that Japan has bad luck but they are still among the most developed countries of the world. You missed out on mentioning that.
3. Try different variations of the main idea. like
luck is not much important
you can turn your bad luck to your strength…you gave examples outlining that but you should have explicitly mentioned them.

Lesser examples than this, and more of exploring the issue- this could have been better.

Please review mine http://disq.us/p/1jz5qmr

I couldn’t agree more. more examples and less arguments. Its like i gave valid reasons but didn’t put arguments beforehand. My essay was 800 words approx. I should have included 300-400 words of arguments and then should have used these examples accordingly. Thanks for pointing out.

Here are my two cents (I am a newbie here but still)

Cons – pehle kami bataunga:)

1) In the example of Arab Countries, You can mention Political Capital also. Per capita income is large but no political representation. Society only develops when individuals have political social economical capital

2) Example can be given of Scandinavian countries and other developed countries. Both categories are growing at same rate in economic terms but we see Scandinavian countries topping every HDI index and USA and other developed countries have issues. Both have stable economy but the former society is more inclusively developed.

3) Indian context is less in your essay. You should include difference between kerala and other states. It is more developed in hdi terms where as its economic structure provided same stability as of other states.

4) Please include other dimensions also like – inclusive, women, child, other type of inequalities in relation to economic growth vis-a-vis society development.

Pros

1) I like how you have framed your essay into question answer format and tried to touch various dimensions associated with the topic.

Just one thing, in your structure. Though you have used paragraphs, I am unable to see any discernible gap between your paragraphs. Your paragraphs should be distinguishable, should not look like a monolithic block!

Try to work on the structure.

It will be a good idea if you include rough work too.

Thanks Neyawn. The paragraph issue is true. i would take care to leave more gap between two paragraphs, its just that the many paragraphs ended at the end of the line in this essay.

Could you please elaborate about the structure?

Thanks for taking the feedback seriously. One good and practical way to do it is to leave one line gap between paras, and not follow the old method of having paras, that is, don’t begin the next para from below where the preceding para ends.

See how other people are writing and you can take a cue.

Yeah I start a new para right from the beginning of the line. That’s the correct way, right?
Its just that this essay had many paragraphs ending at end of a line. I will take care. thanks.

Economy is the basis of society. When the economy is stable, society develops.

We humans have evolved in such dynamic ways; we cannot be parted from being living in groups and have become interdependent largely. In past times when man was still learning to test the nature and know what it can give him back, he learnt agriculture. The biggest invention that subsumes all human life and sustains everything else that we have managed to bring forth through science. But as the efficiency in harvesting varieties of food increased the dependent population was on inflation. So also it became necessary to regulate the resources, as our anthropogenic era didn’t stop with just food. We learnt the physics, chemistry & biology of earth and its components through which inventions, innovations were given birth to.
Society did not only fulfill its basic needs but also thrived for bettering livelihoods through such inventions; industries were established, modes of transport and communications were bettered that now stands as a backbone to all nations for utilizing resources, fulfill wants and exchange of knowledge.

Regardless of all such inventions & innovations the society is largely sustained and near balanced through the study of economics, or simply put regulating resources with respect to its value in terms of money, gold or other legal elements that acts as a means to an end need. Since its inception by the father of economics, Sir Adam Smith, it has grown widely with many discrepancies. The outcome of which can be measured in terms of poverty, unemployment etc. As food, cloth, shelter is our basic necessity to survive, so is economy the basic infrastructure of any nation that strives & thrives hard for growth & development of its land & people.
From microeconomics to macroeconomics, the society now has shaped the very nature of human into educate, learn & earn scheme for livelihood survival. The very important aspects of growth are How much a nation produces? What it produces? And the demand & supply constraints.
Each citizen of a country has a part to play in the bigger picture of growth & development of a nation. And holistically, the economic world can be said to have three dimensions People, Planet & Profits. A play between scarce resources & growing demand w.r.t value & outcome of economy of a society in local & global terms.

In terms of a nation’s GDP the stability would mean to have a good tax income and a controlled inflation, where amount of money in circulation remains stable w.r.t available domestic resources. But a society can be said to be developing only when it sustains its policies with the changing nature of demands, availability of resources and production output.

And the play of 3P’s can be sustained through intervention of choices made available to all citizens regardless of class, i.e. when economic equality is gained through employment, affordable and sustainable livelihood. Such intervention would require a stable economy, i.e. management of resources, industrial development, skill development, bringing socio-economic equality, most importantly more money in the pockets of few is the threat to equality everywhere.

And when economy of a nation is stable, its qualitative progression in terms of standard & cost of living improves, people opt for better opportunities & urban development strikes. But still to sustain such an economy is a challenge in itself with respect to the growing populace, its needs & wants and the availability of space and resources.
