News:National Disaster Management Authority(NDMA) has developed an online Dashboard called National Migrant Information System(NMIS).
Facts:
- NMIS: It is an online dashboard to monitor and facilitate the inter state movement of migrant workers and their contact-tracing during lockdown across the country.
Additional Facts:
- NDMA: It is the apex statutory body setup under Disaster Management Act, 2005.It comes under the Ministry of Home Affairs and is chaired by the Prime minister.
- Contact Tracing: It is the process of identifying, assessing and managing people who have been exposed to a disease to prevent onward transmission.
