Hyperinflation and Galloping Inflation

Galloping inflation refers to a very high inflation level.

Hyperinflation is a term which is used to describe excessive and out of control rise in general price level of goods and services. It is extremely high and generally accelerating inflation.

The value of money falls sharply resulting in loss of confidence in domestic currency and people start opting for other forms of money, for example physical assets, gold and foreign currency.
