Incremental Capital Output Ratio (ICOR)

Incremental capital output ratio refers to an additional capital which is required to generate one additional unit output.

For example, if 5 % additional capital is needed to increase the output by one percent, then 5 % is the ICOR.

Lower the ICOR, the better it is because a lower ICOR shows that the capital is being used efficiently.
