What is the News?
India and Saudi Arabia conducted their first-ever naval exercise named “Al-Mohed Al-Hindi 2021” exercise.
Exercise Al-Mohed Al-Hindi 2021:
- Exercise Al-Mohed Al-Hindi is a bilateral naval exercise between India and Saudi Arabia.
- Purpose: The exercise will showcase the reflection of growing defence and military cooperation between India and Saudi Arabia.
- Features: The exercise comprises a number of shore and sea-based drills between the two navies. From the Indian side, INS Kochi participated in the exercise.
INS Kochi:
- INS Kochi is an indigenously designed and built Kolkata class stealth guided missile destroyer of the Indian Western Naval Fleet.
- Constructed by: The ship was constructed by the Mazagon Dock Limited, Mumbai.
