- The first Space Science Museum has been opened in Hyderabad, Telangana.
- The museum is a collaborative effort between the Indian Space Research Organization(ISRO) and the B M Birla Science Centre.
- The Space Museum has a host of exhibits including replicas of satellites such as (a)Ariane Passenger Payload Experiment (APPLE) (b) Chandrayan-1 (c)Mangalyaan and (d)launch vehicles like GSLV MK III.
- The museum also has special enclosure in which visitors can directly get in touch with India’s Antarctic Space Station called Dakshin Gangotri in real time.
