The Jammu and Kashmir PSC conducts this state-level examination annually, this year commission has announced 90 vacancies for civil services positions in Jammu & Kashmir.
Age Limit: The age requirements for candidates are as follows:
(i) Open Merit Candidates,
(ii) Reserved Category candidates and in-service candidates, and
(iii) Physically Challenged Candidates.
JKPSC Exam Pattern 2025
The JKPSC exam has three stages: Prelims, Mains, and Personality Test.
Prelims: The first stage with objective-type questions to test general knowledge and aptitude.
Mains: A descriptive exam to assess subject knowledge, analytical skills, and writing abilities.
Personality Test: An interview to measure the candidate’s overall suitability for administrative roles.
JKPSC KAS Prelims Exam :
The preliminary stage of the Jammu and Kashmir Combined Competitive Examination will consist of two papers,
General Studies-I and General Studies-II, with a total of 200 marks.
The exam has 200 objective questions. Candidates will get 1 mark for each correct answer, while 0.33 marks will be deducted for incorrect attempts. To qualify, candidates must secure a minimum of 33% marks in Paper II.
