News: EU member Bulgaria marked its entry into the euro zone with a display of euro coins on the facade of the central bank in Sofia and fireworks to celebrate a long-awaited milestone.

- Bulgaria is a middle-sized country situated in Southeast Europe, in the east of the Balkans.
- It is situated on the eastern portion of the Balkans directly south of the Danube river and west of the Black Sea.
