UPSC has posted a press release on its website based on a meeting held today.
Important Summary
- A Decision on Fresh Dates for the remaining Civil Services-2019 Personality Tests will be taken after 3rd May, 2020 following the second phase of lock-down
- Any rescheduling in the Dates for Examinations including Civil Services Preliminary exam 2020 , if necessitated by the evolving situation will be notified on the website of UPSC. So as of now, there is no decision taken on the postponement of the Prelims exam.

Lol, I have merely said that UPSC will try its best to conduct exam on the designate day.
If things are open and govt orders do not forbid it, exam will be on due date.
If lockdown goes on beyond May 15-20th, then maybe you can expect a postponement.
You see Mr Tharoor has tagged the Minister and the Minister is after UPSC so , despite all this if Commission says everything is as per plan, then you can gauge the commissions mood.
So the real question is, will normalcy be restored by May end?
I am not making any absolute statements here about exam postponement. 🙂
Any chance of changing Test city?
It is not about commission’s decision sir what if normalcy not restored in various centres eg.Ahmedabad than how they will get school for exam?
