  1. Pakistan has used F-16s fighter aircraft for the air intrusion into India. However, they have denied its use as the fighters were obtained from the US under the banner of global fight against terrorism. US laws bar the use of fighters in an “offensive role” against a country.
  2. The parts of medium-range air-to-air missile (AMRAAM) which is only carried by F-16s in Pakistan’s combat fleet, was also recovered within Indian territory. The advanced Amraam missiles allow a pilot to target an enemy aircraft that are beyond their visual range in day or night, and in all weather conditions.
