1. Elon Musk’s SpaceX names Japanese billionaire as first moon traveller

• A Japanese billionaire and online fashion tycoon, Yusaku Maezawa, will be the first man to fly on a monster SpaceX rocket around the Moon as early as 2023
• Maezawa will be the first lunar traveller since the last US Apollo mission in 1972.
• The first space tourist was Dennis Tito, an American businessman who in 2001 on a Russian spaceship to the International Space Station

2. Commitment to policies for people of poorer countries: US ranked low

• The annual commitment to development index (CDI) report is released by Center for Global Development, a Washington-based non-profit think-tank
• The CDI ranks the world’s richest countries on their dedication to policies that benefit the poorer nations.
• Sweden tops the list, followed by Denmark and Finland.
