  • Anthropogenic occurrence by Agrochemicals, wood preservatives, industrial sources, mineral processing, acid mine drainage, burning of fossil fuels etc
  • Disease causes by arsenic
  • Skin cancer,
  • lung and bladder cancer
  • Vascular system disease
  • Diabetes
  • Blackfoot disease etc
  • Treatment of contaminated water using small quantities of cooking soda, potassium permanganate and ferric chloride

Lending a helping hand to coconut farmers

Project Kalpavriksha

  • The project has field staff that visit coconut farms, advises farmers on best practices, disease and yield improvement free of cost.
  • It now covers almost 6,000 coconut farmers in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
  • It has a digital library and toll free number.
  • Project Kalpavriksha will also bring on its platform start-ups, financial institutions, and government agencies.
