PM to inaugurate Pakyong Airport in Sikkim: Prime Minister will inaugurate Pakyong Airport in Sikkim on September 24.It will be the 100th functional airport in the country and Sikkim first functional airport
Prime Minister lays foundation stone of Convention centre in New Delhi :PM laid the foundation stone for India International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC) at Dwarka, New Delhi.IICC will reflect India’s economic progress, rich cultural heritage and its consciousness towards protection of the environment. The project will be overseen by International Convention and Exhibition Centre Ltd, a company set up by Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) under Ministry of commerce and Industry.
Successful Flight Test of Prahar: Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully flight tested the indigenously developed surface to surface ballistic missile ‘Prahar’ from Balasore Odisha.It is a solid fuelled short range(range of 200 km) missile fitted with navigation system.Prahar is a contemporary weapon system capable of carrying multiple types of warheads and neutralizing a wide variety of targets.
Exercise Aviaindra-18 Commences at Lipetsk (Russia) :Exercise Aviaindra is an Air Force level exercise between India and Russia.First Aviaindra was conducted in 2014 as a bi-annual exercise.Aviaindra 18 was held in Lipetsk, Russia from September 17 to 28, 2018. The second session of Aviaindra 18 will be conducted in Jodhpur, Rajasthan from December 10 Dec to 22, 2018
