Explanation – Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) is a rare neurological disorder in which the immune system mistakenly attacks the peripheral nervous system. This leads to symptoms such as muscle weakness, numbness, and, in severe cases, paralysis. It does not affect the cardiovascular, endocrine, or gastrointestinal systems directly but can cause complications like blood pressure fluctuations or heart rhythm abnormalities due to autonomic nervous system involvement.
