Explanation: Periyar Kullan, also known locally as Kuttampuzha cattle or Andukanni, is an indigenous cattle population of central Kerala. It has adapted to plantation and forest-fringe environments. The ICAR-NBAGR has recognised it as Kerala’s second registered indigenous cattle breed, after Vechur cattle.
